Teacher's Aide - Groton, New York

• State certification in New York required for Teacher Assistant positions, with official verification needed.
• Teacher Aide candidates do not need certification—multiple roles open for those passionate about education.
• Experience working in schools or similar settings is highly valued.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in the delivery of lessons and classroom management.
• Support individual and small-group instruction, adapting to diverse student needs.
• Help with classroom setup, material preparation, and supervision of activities.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff as needed.
• Encourage positive behavior, social skills, and engagement throughout the school day.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and protocols.

Assignment Details:

• Teacher Assistants (certified): 36.25 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch daily.
• Teacher Aides (non-certified): 32.5 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch daily.
• 13-week initial contract with possibility for extension.
