Make a meaningful impact supporting students in an inclusive school community. A contract opportunity is available for four dedicated paraprofessionals in the Dover High School area, just a short drive from Hampton, NH. This assignment spans the academic year from September 2026 to June 2027, providing the chance to build strong relationships and gain experience in a collaborative educational environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience working within a school setting and are comfortable stepping into both 1:1 student roles and assisting in classroom settings. Flexibility and a passion for supporting student growth are essential. There are no para certifications or advanced education requirements, but proof of a high school diploma is required by the district.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a paraprofessional or equivalent support role in schools
  • Comfortable in both one-on-one and classroom support positions
  • Possession of a high school diploma (proof required)
  • Ability to provide three completed professional references, including your most recent manager, prior to interviewing
  • Comfortable with a 32.5-hour workweek schedule (7:30 AM–2:30 PM) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch

Responsibilities:

  • Support students individually and in classroom groups to promote engagement and success
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement lesson plans and accommodate diverse learning needs
  • Help to maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom culture
  • Assist with monitoring student progress and providing encouragement as needed
  • Adapt to the specific needs of assigned classrooms or students throughout the day
