Instructional Assistant - Hamptonville, NC

Bring your passion for supporting students to a full-time opportunity assisting in a dynamic educational setting. This contract assignment offers hands-on experience working as a Paraprofessional supporting a virtual Speech-Language Pathologist during a maternity leave. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through November 11th, 2026. Your placement is dependent on matching a maternity leave SLP for the district's needs.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience as a paraprofessional in school-based settings preferred
• Confidence working alongside a virtual SLP, providing support and encouragement to students
• Associate’s degree or a minimum of 60 credit hours is required
• Team-oriented attitude, reliability, and adaptability
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Assist the SLP in virtual speech therapy session setups
• Encourage, supervise, and redirect students as necessary during sessions
• Support students’ progress and participation in activities and exercises as directed by the SLP
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student records and information
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families as needed
• Help document and track student progress in communication with the SLP
