Key Qualifications:

• A minimum of one year of paraprofessional experience in a school setting.
• Completion of either a paraprofessional certification, an associate’s degree, or at least 48 college credits. (Candidates without these credentials must be willing to obtain paraprofessional certification within 60 days of hire.)
• Collaborative attitude, adaptability, and a passion for working with high school students, particularly those in life skills programs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to assist teachers in developing and maintaining an engaging classroom atmosphere.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide daily classroom support to teachers and students in the high school life skills program.
• Assist with instructional activities, behavioral strategies, and individual accommodations as needed.
• Promote a safe, supportive, and positive classroom climate.
• Supervise students during classroom work, outings, transitions, and lunch or break periods as directed.
• Collaborate closely with instructional staff to tailor support for student success.
