Take the next step in your education career with a contract opportunity as a Personal Care Assistant for the 26/27 school year. This full-time position spans 35 hours weekly, from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm, running from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027. You'll make a real difference by supporting middle school students in an autism support classroom, providing vital help for their academic and personal growth.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or personal care assistant in a school setting is highly valued
• Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and related support strategies
• Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
• Team-oriented approach when working with teachers, students, and staff
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Flexibility and a genuine commitment to supporting students' developmental needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to middle school students in an autism support classroom
• Assist with implementing behavior support plans under the guidance of educational staff
• Help students with daily classroom activities, academics, and personal care needs as assigned
• Foster a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment
• Track student progress and offer feedback to the teaching team
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive student support
