Begin a rewarding contract opportunity as a Paraeducator/Behavior Technician in a supportive school environment near Hartford, CT. Multiple full-time positions (32.5 hours/week) are available, providing the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students on the Autism Spectrum and those facing behavioral challenges. As part of a dedicated team, you'll deliver both 1:1 and classroom support, fostering a positive and inclusive learning space.

Your background in behavioral or special education settings will be highly valued here, as you work closely with 5-7 students per class, mainly in individualized roles. Compassion, flexibility, and a commitment to helping students succeed are essential for this role.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 1-2 years of previous experience with behavioral or special needs (SPED) students
  • Paraprofessional skills and a passion for working in educational settings
  • Ability to provide support to students with a range of behavioral needs, from mild to severe
  • Willingness and ability to assist with toileting and other personal care needs, as needed
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 support for students, both in and out of the classroom
  • Support classroom activities and promote student engagement
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to meet student goals
  • Implement behavior intervention plans with guidance from educational teams
  • Help maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment
