Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Prior experience working with children or within a school setting is highly valued
• Ability to follow directives and support certified teachers in implementing lesson plans
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to build rapport with students, staff, and parents
• Flexible, patient, and positive attitude in a fast-paced, changing environment
• High school diploma or GED required; relevant college coursework or paraprofessional certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in classroom management, behavioral support, and lesson delivery
• Provide individualized or small-group academic and social support to students
• Foster an inclusive, welcoming, and safe environment for learners
• Help with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and supervision during activities
• Support students with special needs as directed by teaching staff or IEPs
• Monitor students during arrival, dismissal, or transitions between classes
