Teacher's Aide | Harvey, Louisiana

Step into a meaningful role supporting students in the New Orleans area as a Paraprofessional Facilitator on a contract basis for the 2026–2027 school year. In this position, you’ll collaborate closely with virtual service providers such as school psychologists or speech-language pathologists to facilitate student participation and success within a dynamic educational environment. This is a full-time opportunity (35 hours/week) ideal for those with a passion for providing individualized assistance and fostering a positive learning environment for all students.

Desired Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree, OR
• ParaPro Assessment score of at least 450, OR
• Minimum of 48 completed semester credit hours
• Special Education classroom experience (required)
• Ability to complete district-specific background and credentialing processes, including drug screening and fingerprinting

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as an on-site facilitator for virtual service providers (school psychologist or SLP)
• Support students across assigned schools (exact locations TBD) with their individualized needs
• Assist teachers and service providers with classroom activities, technology setup, and student engagement
• Foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere to help all students thrive
• Communicate effectively with district staff and virtual professionals about student progress and needs
