Para Professional in Hastings, MN

This contract position offers the chance to provide essential guidance both in Special Education (Setting IV) and General Education environments. Key Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree or current Paraeducator certification required
• Experience working with children or adolescents in school settings is highly preferred
• Patience, adaptability, and a passion for student development are essential
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers and staff
• Willingness to work on-site near Hastings, MN
• Open to travel professionals with strong backgrounds in educational support

Responsibilities:

• Partner with lead teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and classroom activities
• Support students with academic tasks, social skills, and behavior management
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students
• Assist with data collection and documentation to monitor student progress
• Deliver one-on-one or small group instruction within assigned caseloads (Special Education Setting IV or General Education)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student needs are met throughout the academic year

Available Caseloads:

• Special Education Setting IV Paraprofessional: 7 hours/day, 35 hours/week (Red Wing)
• General Education Paraprofessional: 6.75 hours/day, 33.75 hours/week (Red Wing)
• Term: September 1, 2026 – June 3, 2027
