Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a school paraprofessional or similar educational support role
• Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both students and educational staff
• Ability to provide patient, one-on-one instructional support
• Commitment to confidentiality and student advocacy

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct 1:1 ASL interpretation and support during classroom activities and throughout the school day
• Assist the student in engaging with curriculum content, assignments, and group work
• Work in close partnership with teachers and other support staff to ensure educational goals are met
• Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment
• Monitor student’s progress and communicate insights to the instructional team
• Respond flexibly to the evolving needs of the student
