Teacher's Aide - Hayward, California

We’re seeking an experienced Paraprofessional to work closely with a Special Day class and provide 1:1 support to a student in a vibrant educational setting near Hayward, CA. This position spans from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027, for 32.5 hours per week.

Your expertise as a paraeducator and your understanding of behavioral needs will make a meaningful impact in the classroom. If you’re bilingual in Spanish, your skills will be an even greater asset as you build strong connections and foster a supportive environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a paraeducator or paraprofessional, preferably in special education settings
• Strong understanding of the dynamics and requirements of working in a Special Day class
• Demonstrated ability to provide effective 1:1 student support, especially with behavioral needs
• Bilingual Spanish/English skills highly preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and skilled in managing student needs and fostering a positive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized support and assistance to an assigned student with behavioral challenges
• Collaborate with special education teachers and staff to implement IEPs and support classroom activities
• Assist with classroom management while supporting social and academic goals
• Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly about student progress
• Adapt strategies and communication to meet each student’s unique needs
