Step into a rewarding role supporting student success for the 26/27 school year! A contract opportunity is available for a paraprofessional who is passionate about working in educational environments, particularly in Special Day classes. This position runs from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours each week.

You will have the chance to directly support learning and growth by working one-on-one with a student who has behavioral needs. Your experience as a paraeducator will play a crucial part in fostering a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere. Bilingual ability in Spanish is highly valued and will enable you to bridge communication and support diverse communities.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or paraeducator within special education settings
• Familiarity with supporting students who have behavioral needs
• Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills and adaptability
• Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student in a Special Day class
• Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Reinforce learning objectives and classroom routines
• Offer positive behavioral guidance and crisis intervention if needed
• Communicate with educators and student support staff
• Foster a nurturing environment that encourages engagement and independence
