This contract role for the 2025-26 school year involves working 1:1 with a 16-year-old student, providing meaningful behavioral and academic support in a school setting. What we’re looking for:

  • Background as a Paraprofessional or Behavior Specialist in a school or similar setting
  • Certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or strong experience with behavioral intervention techniques
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
  • Skilled in implementing individualized behavior intervention plans
  • Comfort working one-on-one with students and adapting strategies as needed
  • Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals
  • Ability to remain patient, consistent, and empathetic in challenging situations

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct support and guidance to a high school student as outlined in individualized plans
  • Implement strategies to improve social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes
  • Document observations and provide input on progress toward established goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to ensure a cohesive approach
  • Assist with classroom integration and facilitate inclusion in school activities
  • Respond to behavioral needs and intervene according to best practice standards

This role offers competitive pay ranging from $25 to $27.50 per hour, depending on experience and education.
