Special Education Para Professional in Hesperia, CA

Exciting opportunity available for a skilled paraprofessional to work one-on-one with a high school student in a contract position. Serving a moderate to severe caseload, you'll provide consistent support during school hours in a dynamic educational setting. This role requires someone confident in assisting a male student and who is comfortable working exclusively onsite.

Key qualifications and desired experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment
• Experience supporting students with moderate to severe learning and behavioral needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and compassionate approach
• Bilingual in Spanish required for effective communication and support
• Male candidates are preferred due to the needs of the student
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies

Primary responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized assistance to a high school student during scheduled school hours (7:07 am – 2:10 pm)
• Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to ensure the student's academic and social success
• Implement behavior management strategies and provide emotional support as needed
• Assist with daily classroom activities, personal care, and educational tasks tailored to the student's needs
• Maintain careful documentation and participate in IEP or other team meetings as required
