Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting
• Strong background working with elementary-aged students with disabilities
• Familiarity with feeding and toileting assistance required
• Patient and empathetic communication style
• Preference for candidates who identify as female, to best meet the student's needs
• Ability to follow individualized education and behavior plans
• Comfortable working 32.5 hours per week during the school year

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, tailored support to an assigned student throughout the school day
• Assist with feeding and toileting routines to support the student’s independence and dignity
• Collaborate closely with special education teachers and related service providers
• Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities and student progress
• Encourage socialization, engagement in class activities, and positive behavior
• Support the implementation of learning activities and modifications as outlined in the student’s plan
• Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive environment at all times
