Key Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• Current ASL certificate or documentation of ASL proficiency
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or sign language interpreter, especially in educational settings, is preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for supporting students and enhancing accessibility in the classroom

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time ASL interpretation for middle school students in varied classroom lessons and activities
• Adapt signing to meet individual student comprehension needs
• Support student participation alongside teachers and staff, fostering an inclusive classroom culture
• Collaborate with educators and staff to encourage student engagement and success
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism at all times
• Assist with assignments, clarification, and integration of learning materials as needed
