Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role within a school setting preferred
• Ability to assist students with a variety of academic and behavioral needs
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families
• Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education is a plus
• Familiarity with special education services, individualized education plans (IEPs), or classroom modifications is valuable

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support for students during classroom activities and routines
• Help implement individualized learning plans under the guidance of certified staff
• Encourage students’ participation, success, and independence
• Assist with classroom management and provide behavioral support as needed
• Supervise students in various settings, including in-class, recess, or lunch periods
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt materials or strategies, ensuring effective learning experiences
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and observations
