Para Professional in Irwin, PA

We’re seeking two dedicated professionals for full-time contract positions running through June 5, 2026. There are two opportunities available: one focused on supporting students in grades K-1 and another in grades 3-5, both within specialized autistic support classrooms. These roles start as soon as possible, and the director is eager to conduct interviews. Schedules will follow the school calendar and will be finalized based on your assigned building’s hours.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Prior experience as a Paraprofessional in a school or special education setting
• Ability to support students with autism and promote a positive, inclusive environment
• Flexibility and compassion for assisting in daily classroom routines
• Comfort with responsibilities such as toileting, classroom transitions, lunch supervision, and occasional sub coverage for other paraprofessionals
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

What You’ll Do:

• Provide hands-on support to students during instructional times and class transitions
• Assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom management
• Supervise lunch periods, help with personal care as needed, and maintain an encouraging, structured atmosphere
• Step in for other classroom assistants as required to ensure consistent student support
