We're seeking two dedicated Paraprofessionals to work full-time with elementary-aged students in the Pittsburgh area, including communities such as Fox Chapel, Oakmont, Monroeville, Swissvale, and nearby neighborhoods. This opportunity runs ASAP through June 5, 2026, with hours aligned to the school’s daily schedule and based on campus assignments.
Positions are available in Autistic Support classrooms—one in grades K-1, the other in grades 3-5. As a Paraprofessional, you’ll work closely with teachers and specialists, helping foster a safe, inclusive, and structured environment where every student can engage and thrive.
Key qualifications and attributes:
- Experience as a Paraprofessional in educational or special education settings is preferred
- Background working with elementary students, especially those in autistic support programs, is a plus
- Comfortable assisting with toileting, classroom transitions, lunch duty, and stepping in to support colleagues as needed
- Good communication skills, reliability, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed
- Willingness to be flexible; schedules and duties may vary by assignment
Core responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on classroom support to students and teachers
- Assist in implementing individualized learning and behavioral plans
- Facilitate smooth transitions between activities and classroom settings
- Offer support during meals and complete light supervision duties
- Substitute for colleagues as needed throughout the day
