Instructional Aide - Irwin, PA

Make a difference as a contract Paraprofessional supporting students in a dynamic school environment near Pittsburgh, PA! This opportunity is perfect for those residing in or around Fox Chapel, Oakmont, Monroeville, Swissvale, or similar nearby communities. The district is seeking TWO passionate Paraprofessionals for the 2025/2026 school year, with immediate interviews available.

Key Details:

• Two openings: one for Autistic Support (K-1), another for Autistic Support (Grades 3-5)
• Full-time schedule, following the assigned school’s hours
• Position runs ASAP through June 5, 2026

What you’ll do:

• Provide dedicated support for students in autistic support classrooms
• Assist teachers and students during classroom transitions
• Participate in lunch coverage and occasional cross-coverage for other paraprofessionals as needed
• Help with toileting and personal care when necessary to ensure student comfort and dignity
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment
• Follow school and district policies at all times

What we’re looking for:

• Previous paraprofessional or classroom aide experience in school settings is highly valued
• Experience supporting students with autism or special education needs preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus
• Compassion, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively with educators and families
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
