Instructional Aide in Irwin, PA

Two dedicated paraprofessionals are needed for contract positions spanning the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. These roles are vital to assisting students and teachers, with openings available at both the high school and elementary levels. You’ll play an integral role in the classroom, including the chance to gain experience working in a lifeskills setting. There may also be opportunities for extended school year (ESY) or next school year (NSY) placements as these roles are to cover leaves of absence, with permanent staff expected to return at an undetermined date.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or educator’s aide, ideally within a school environment
• Comfortable assisting in lifeskills or special education classrooms
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to support students’ educational, social, and emotional needs
• Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group support to students in various classroom settings
• Assist teachers in implementing instructional plans and accommodations
• Foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all learners
• Aid in classroom organization and preparation of learning materials
• Support daily living and functional skills as needed in lifeskills rooms

Positions are full-time, with the following shift options:

• High School: 7:15 am – 2:45 pm
• Elementary: 8:00 am – 3:30 pm
