Key Qualifications:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within educational settings
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with elementary-aged children, especially students requiring one-on-one assistance
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, specialists, and families
• Flexibility and patience to adapt to the evolving needs of the student and classroom
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in education or related field is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct one-on-one support to a third-grade student, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom experience
• Implement teacher-directed instructional and behavioral strategies to help the student achieve academic and social goals
• Assist with classroom routines, adapting assignments as needed to meet the student’s unique learning needs
• Monitor progress, encourage participation, and help support the student’s independence and self-esteem
• Communicate regularly with the classroom teacher and other support staff regarding student progress and concerns
