Key Qualifications:

• Active paraprofessional certification in the state of Georgia is required

• Comfortable addressing diverse student needs and supporting positive behaviors in the classroom
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support classroom instruction and activities under the direction of the special education teacher
• Work with students both in small groups and individually, adapting as students’ needs arise
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and encouraging atmosphere for all learners
• Monitor, redirect, and reinforce appropriate behaviors as part of a team approach
• Contribute to implementation of individualized learning and behavioral support strategies
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and supportive learning environment
• Participate in team meetings and professional development when requested
