You’ll be directly supporting a student as a 1:1 Paraprofessional, making a positive impact in their educational experience from now through the last day of school.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Teacher’s Assistant, particularly in a special education classroom, is highly valued.
• Familiarity with reinforcing positive behavior and helping students navigate social and emotional challenges.
• Compassion and patience when assisting with personal care needs, including toileting or diapering, if required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and related staff.
• Strong communication skills and adaptability to changing classroom needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide one-on-one assistance to a student with special needs, supporting them with academic tasks, communication, and social interactions.
• Implement strategies as set by educational teams, focusing on the student’s unique needs.
• Monitor and encourage positive social/emotional behaviors throughout the day.
• Assist with basic self-care tasks, which may include toileting or diapering support.
• Maintain a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates progress and growth.
