- Valid sub certification or ParaPro/Paraprofessional Assessment completion as per Missouri guidelines
- Experience supporting children with disabilities in school or related settings
- Strong behavioral management skills, including de-escalation and intervention for aggression or elopement
- Physical ability to remain mobile throughout the classroom and assist with students’ physical management
- Comfort with toileting, lifting, feeding, and supporting student mobility when required
- Medical background or experience is a plus for certain programs
- Bonus for candidates with Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credentials
- Ability to foster foundational academics, job readiness, and life skills in smaller groups or 1:1 situations
- Willingness to assist in both specialized and general education settings as needed
Key responsibilities span supporting elementary social/emotional learning programs (self-contained K-5), all-special education K-8 settings, or high school functional skills-focused classrooms.
