Skills & Experience Desired:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role with children who have disabilities
• Familiarity with functional skills classrooms or special education settings preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patience, adaptability, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
• Comfort assisting students with daily activities, academics, and behavioral support
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in special education is a plus

Role Responsibilities:

• Work closely with classroom teachers to deliver individualized support to students
• Assist with instructional activities, classroom management, and modified curriculum tasks
• Encourage student engagement, confidence, and independence
• Support personal care routines as needed within the classroom setting
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and communication with families as requested
