About the Position

Soliant Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessionals to support students within a school district located outside the Kansas City, MO area. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping students succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally in a special education setting.

Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available based on district needs.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following Missouri requirements:

• Hold a valid Missouri Substitute Teacher Certificate, OR
• Hold a valid Missouri Paraprofessional (ParaPro) Certification

Previous experience working with children, students with disabilities, or in an educational setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will:

• Provide direct support to students receiving special education services
• Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and lesson implementation
• Support students with academic tasks in individual, small-group, and classroom settings
• Reinforce lesson concepts and educational goals established by the teacher
• Assist students with social, emotional, and behavioral development
• Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by school staff
• Monitor and document student progress and behavior when required
• Support students during transitions throughout the school day
• Assist with classroom organization and preparation of instructional materials
• Provide supervision during lunch, recess, field trips, and other school activities
• Support students with personal care needs when outlined in their educational plans
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to support student success
