Instructional Assistant - Keene, New Hampshire

You’ll work within a committed team, assisting students who benefit from individualized and small-group support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, 1:1 assistance to a middle school student who is autistic and nonverbal, supporting both academic and daily living tasks.
• Work with high school students with IEPs in mainstream classrooms, encouraging engagement and academic progress.
• Assist with classroom activities, material modifications, and redirection as needed.
• Offer comprehensive support, including toileting and personal care.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to ensure students’ needs are met across academic and social situations.
• Maintain accurate and respectful documentation of student progress.

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, PCA, or similar role in a school environment preferred.
• Comfort and flexibility in providing personal care and toileting assistance.
• Patience, adaptability, and genuine interest in working with students of varying abilities.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators and support staff.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act professionally at all times.
• Availability for a full-time contract, Monday to Friday, beginning late August 2026 through June 2027.
