Para Professional in Lake Ariel, PA

This contract opportunity offers a full-time role supporting kindergarten students in an elementary school environment for the upcoming 26/27 school year. With consistent hours from 8 am to 3 pm and an immediate start, you’ll work closely with students, offering essential classroom support and emotional guidance on a 1:1 basis through December.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, ideally in a school or educational setting
• Ability to support students’ emotional and academic growth
• Compassionate approach with a focus on individualized attention
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework or certifications in education are a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to a kindergarten student, fostering both academic and social-emotional development
• Assist teacher with classroom management and implementation of daily lesson plans
• Help students remain engaged and successful throughout the school day
• Support students’ emotional regulation and encourage positive behaviors
• Maintain open communication with classroom teachers and other staff
• Model patience, inclusion, and care for all students
