Qualifications:

  • Completed at least two years of college credits (60 semester credits or equivalent) from an accredited institution
    OR
  • Hold an associate degree or higher OR
  • Successfully passed a formal assessment or completed a competency grid (parapro test)
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with students and to follow teacher/specialist guidance
  • Adaptability and reliability in dynamic classroom environments
  • Strong communication skills and a supportive, collaborative approach

Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead educators with classroom management and instructional support
  • Provide guidance, encouragement, and individualized attention to students
  • Help implement lesson plans and participate in classroom activities
  • Support students with special needs as directed
  • Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the instructional team
  • Uphold a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
