Key Skills and Experience

• Experience as a paraprofessional, behavior specialist, or behavior technician strongly preferred
• Previous Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) background is a plus
• Comfortable working full-time hours across the full school year
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and de-escalation skills
• Passion for helping children with diverse behavioral and academic needs
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff
• Capable of assisting with individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention strategies

Primary Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction for PreK and elementary students
• Implement behavior plans and reinforcement strategies under the guidance of certified professionals
• Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance to help students access the curriculum
• Monitor and document student progress, behaviors, and interventions
• Assist with crisis intervention and redirection when necessary
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to foster a positive learning environment
• Help with classroom organization, transitions, and routine student activities
