Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar school support role
• Flexibility to manage diapering and hygiene care for younger students
• Familiarity with supporting students exhibiting behavioral needs, especially at the elementary level
• Teacher Assistants must hold current state certification
• Teacher Aides are not required to have certification
• Completion of manager references is required prior to interviewing

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to provide instructional and behavioral support
• Assist with personal care needs, including diapering for younger children
• Help create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment
• Implement teacher-directed activities and offer one-on-one support to students as needed
• Monitor and encourage appropriate student behavior
• Foster a nurturing atmosphere for all learners
