Make a meaningful impact every day by working directly with students in an educational setting as a dedicated paraprofessional. This full-time contract opportunity supports the autistic support program at an elementary school. Partner closely with teachers to help students achieve their goals in a collaborative and nurturing environment.

Key qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a paraprofessional, especially within school settings
  • Passion for supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Punctual, adaptable, and able to follow guidance from classroom teachers
  • Comfort and willingness to assist with personal care and ensure safety for students as needed
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification is highly valued; candidates without certification must be willing to obtain within 10 school days of hire
  • CPI training is a strong plus; if not already certified, training will be provided after onboarding
  • Able to provide all necessary clearances promptly (complete clearances and references are required for consideration)

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with autism in their daily school activities, both academic and social
  • Provide attentive supervision, personal care, and safety assistance
  • Follow the lead of classroom teachers and related service professionals to maintain a structured, student-centered environment
  • Foster a positive, inclusive space for learning and social development
  • Contribute to individualized instruction and behavior planning as part of a supportive team

As part of this role, you’ll work 32.5 hours per week (8:50 AM - 3:50 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), starting as soon as possible and continuing throughout the school year.
