Key Details:

• Contract dates: August 25, 2026 – June 4, 2027
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:45 am – 3:00 pm
• Setting: 7th and 8th-grade students in an Autistic support classroom

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Personal Care Assistant in a school setting preferred
• Comfortable supporting students with disabilities, including behavioral challenges and aggressive behaviors
• Knowledge of positive behavior support strategies and de-escalation techniques
• Ability to assist with self-care needs as required throughout the day
• Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills with students and staff
• Patience, compassion, and flexibility in a dynamic classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct daily support to students in the classroom, encouraging independence and engagement
• Implement behavior support plans and offer redirection or calming strategies as needed
• Assist with physical self-care tasks for students, ensuring their safety and dignity
• Foster an inclusive, respectful environment and work closely with teachers, therapists, and fellow staff
• Monitor student progress and communicate updates to the classroom team
