Play a vital role in supporting students and educators across the 2026-2027 school year as a dedicated paraprofessional. This full-time opportunity offers hands-on experience in a variety of settings, working closely with children who have a wide range of needs and learning abilities. Whether placed in a resource, self-contained, or general education classroom, you’ll make meaningful connections with students, helping them succeed both academically and personally.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting one-on-one or in small groups, supporting students with cognitive, emotional, and physical needs in all grade levels.
- Providing essential health aide tasks such as toileting and diapering for students with cognitive impairments.
- Collaborating with teachers and other staff to implement individualized education plans and behavior strategies.
- Adapting to different classroom and student requirements; flexibility on caseload is essential.
- Helping create a nurturing, safe, and structured environment that supports learning and growth.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 60 semester hours of college credit (official transcripts required), or
- Associate’s degree or higher, or
- Passing ETS Parapro Assessment (score of 460 or higher), or
- SAT qualifying scores (at least 480 evidence-based reading/writing, 530 math).
- Experience as a paraprofessional or in a school support role is strongly preferred.
- Compassion, resilience, and adaptability when working with students who have varying abilities.
- Willingness to support students’ personal care needs throughout the school day.
This contract position boasts a fulfilling schedule of approximately 37.5 hours weekly, with the potential for varying start and end times depending on building assignment.
