Teacher's Aide - Lawrence, Massachusetts

This full-time contract position offers 32.5 hours per week, working within a dynamic educational environment near Lawrence, MA. As a paraprofessional, you'll play a vital role supporting students across a variety of settings, including 1:1 assistance, substantially separate classrooms, and specialized support programs.

You’ll have the opportunity to make meaningful impacts through positions such as:

• 1:1 paraprofessionals for individualized student support
• Program assistants in both lower and upper school classrooms
• Resource room paraprofessionals
• CHOICES program team members, focusing on students with behavioral needs
• Assignments in both inclusive settings and specialized programs

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Previous experience supporting students in educational settings, particularly in paraprofessional roles
• Ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and staff
• Strong teamwork skills and a caring, patient attitude
• Experience with special education, behavioral supports, or working 1:1 with students preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications are a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students, ensuring engagement and participation in classroom activities
• Implement individualized strategies and accommodations set by teachers or specialists
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment where all students feel supported
• Assist classroom teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
• Document student progress and collaborate with educators and support teams
