This contract position offers multiple paraprofessional opportunities supporting students in both elementary and middle/high school settings in Lee, MA. Candidates will provide essential assistance to students with diverse needs, including nonverbal communication, social-emotional challenges, and physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a 4th-grade nonverbal student in the Developmental Program (Elementary, 8:15 AM–3:15 PM).
  • Support classroom activities for 5th and 6th-grade students, potentially filling two positions.
  • Assist a 5th-grade student in the Social Emotional Program with 1:1 support; RBT certification is a plus but not required.
  • Offer specialized support in middle/high school (7:58 AM–2:29 PM), including potential 1:1 care for an 11th-grade student recovering from a severe accident, involving paraplegia and limited arm/hand use.
  • Support a 7th-grade nonverbal life skills student with 1:1 assistance.
  • Provide classroom support for 7th/8th graders and possible support for 11th/12th-grade classrooms.
  • Assist with 2:1 support for two 11th-grade students requiring additional attention.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working with students with developmental or physical challenges.
  • Ability to support nonverbal students effectively and compassionately.
  • Patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills.
  • Experience or willingness to learn about social-emotional programming and developmental supports.
  • Comfort providing physical support and collaborating with nursing professionals if necessary.
