Instructional Aide in Lees Summit, MO

Bring your expertise as a Paraprofessional to support students across a vibrant K-12 educational setting. Opportunities are available in both special education and general classrooms, and flexibility to float between elementary, middle, and high school assignments is a plus. Immediate openings may be available for summer (ESY) and potential needs in the upcoming school year beginning in August. Assignments may include one-on-one or classroom assistance, and you will play an important role in helping students thrive.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Missouri Substitute Certificate (verify on the DESE website)
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role preferred
• Comfortable assisting with toileting, changing, and managing challenging behaviors
• Capable of providing support in both SPED and general education settings across all grade levels
• Willing to float among different buildings and shift assignments as necessary
• Strong communication skills and adaptability

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support students’ academic, social, and behavioral growth, both individually and in classroom settings
• Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Assist with personal care as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all learners
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
