Instructional Assistant - Lehighton, PA

Make a real impact supporting students in an engaging school setting! We are seeking dedicated paraprofessionals for several rewarding 1:1 roles for the upcoming academic year. If you have prior school experience and a passion for helping students thrive, this contract position could be an excellent fit.

Available roles offer direct support to students with unique needs, including Life Skills, autism support, and one-on-one care for a young learner. Each position is full-time, running Monday through Friday, with approximately 35 hours per week and follows the academic calendar from August 21, 2026, through June 4, 2027.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience working in schools as a paraprofessional or similar support role
• Comfort level with supporting students with behavioral and physical needs
• Skill in providing consistent daily routines and support to foster student success
• Reliable attendance and a true commitment to student well-being
• Ability to maintain patience, flexibility, and composure during challenging moments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver on-site, one-on-one assistance to students throughout the school day
• Support life skills, classroom participation, and safe transitions between locations
• Consistently engage students in their routines and learning activities
• Provide hands-on care, including feeding, repositioning, and assistance with mobility for students with physical disabilities
• Ride the bus with students as needed, ensuring safety and a positive experience
