Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students as a school paraprofessional in a busy school environment near Liberty, MO. You'll work on a per diem basis, covering contractor call outs at any of 33 schools in the district—primarily elementary locations. Assignments may be 1:1 or supporting whole classrooms, with students who have behavioral needs, IEPs, or require assistance with toileting or behavior intervention plans. Shifts and locations are flexible, giving you the chance to choose when and where you work—from 1 to 5 days per week, depending on your preference and availability.

Pay for this role is set at $24.50 per hour, and you’ll utilize an easy-to-use app to accept open shifts as they come up. Schedules vary across middle, high, and elementary schools, with typical school hours ranging from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Qualifications:

  • Active Missouri substitute or paraprofessional certification on DESE (must be valid before starting; those in process may apply if they’ll be certified before their first day)
  • School and behavior support experience required
  • Able to pass fingerprinting/background checks for the district
  • Comfort working with students with behavioral, functional, or toileting needs
  • Reliability and flexibility; able to quickly adapt to different school settings and age groups

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Support students and classrooms as assigned, following all site protocols and plans (including BIPs)
  • Work closely with educators and staff to ensure student safety and a positive learning experience
  • Deliver personalized attention either 1:1 or as a classroom aide
  • Maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor at all times
