Desired Qualifications:

• Active Substitute Certificate visible on the DESE credential checker.
• Experience working with children or in a school environment, especially special education (SPED) settings.
• Comfortable with tasks including toileting, changing, and addressing diverse student behaviors.
• Adaptable to work with a variety of age groups and school sites (K-12).
• Willingness to move between classrooms and schools as assignments require.
• Ability to coordinate with the school on background/fingerprint requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting classroom materials.
• Provide 1:1 or small-group support to students, fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment.
• Support daily routines, transitions, and personal care for students with additional needs.
• Model appropriate social skills and support positive behavioral interventions.
• Communicate regularly with staff and families to report progress and challenges.

What to Expect:

• Contract role with opportunities year-round, including June ESY and needs for the new school year in August.
• Assignments available across various school hours:
  • Middle: 7:00am - 2:30pm
  • High: 7:30am - 3:00pm
  • Elementary: 8:30am - 4:00pm or 9:00am - 4:30pm
• Positions consistently available; strong candidates will have a prescreening phone interview.
