Your key qualifications:

• Active or in-process substitute certificate through DESE (must be active by your start date)
• Successful fingerprint clearance for North Kansas City district
• Previous experience in schools, especially supporting students with behavioral needs, BIPs, or in SPED environments
• Commitment to professional, compassionate care, which may include toileting or 1:1 assignments
• Confidence in working as either a classroom or one-on-one aide

What you’ll do:

• Support students—either individually or within groups—across a network of 33 schools, primarily at the elementary level
• Step in for call-outs, providing essential continuity and care for students with behavioral needs
• Help implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and provide encouragement and guidance in cooperation with school staff
• Use the Spindle app to view, accept, and confirm your preferred shifts and locations
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism and empathy while adapting to dynamic school environments
