Embark on a rewarding position supporting elementary students as a Teacher’s Assistant / Behavior Aide on a full-time contract basis. Working closely with educators and behavior specialists, you’ll contribute to a positive learning environment and make a daily impact in students’ educational journey. This role runs from ASAP through June 16, 2027, and follows a Monday-Friday, 8:15am-3:45pm schedule.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional or Behavior Specialist, preferably in a school setting
• Associate’s degree or successful completion of Rhode Island Teaching Assistant exam (required)
• A passion for supporting young learners and encouraging positive behaviors
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Adaptability and patience in assisting students with diverse needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to elementary students under the direction of teaching staff
• Encourage engagement, focus, and positive social interactions among students
• Assist with the implementation of behavior intervention plans
• Support classroom routines, transitions, and activities
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other educational professionals
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation
• Help create an inclusive, safe learning environment for all students
