Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional in a school environment
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required
- Familiarity working with behavior intervention plans and supporting diverse student needs
- Interest or experience in working under the guidance of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Adaptability to follow structured support plans and adjust to varying classroom environments
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist students in achieving behavioral and academic goals outlined by educators and BCBA-supervised plans
- Implement strategies to foster positive behavior and promote classroom engagement
- Support teachers with daily classroom activities and provide one-on-one or small group assistance as needed
- Monitor student progress and document observations to aid in the development of individualized plans
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students, upholding professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Attend required professional training and participate in ongoing learning opportunities
