A rewarding opportunity is available for skilled paraprofessionals with experience supporting students in special education settings. This contract role runs from August 11th through May 21st, 2027, offering diverse assignments across various school sites in the Littleton area. Candidates must provide two completed professional RefAssured references at the time of application to be considered.
Key Qualifications:
- At least one full year of experience working in a Special Education classroom
- Significant or severe caseload experience is strongly preferred
- Flexibility to serve different schools, grade levels, or caseloads as needed
- Ability to assist students with toileting and diapering, as required
- Must be able to arrive by 7:40am (Elementary) or 8:00am (Middle/High School)
- Reliable personal transportation is mandatory, as public transit/ride-shares are not accepted
- No felony or misdemeanor charges; District requires immediate post-offer fingerprinting
Role Responsibilities:
- Support classroom instruction by working one-on-one or with small groups of students
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs
- Assist with daily functional skills, including personal care and mobility if needed
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and administrators to promote student progress
- Adapt to assignment changes and school reassignments as directed
Available assignments range from elementary to high school and transition services, with weekly hours varying by location. Assignment details and caseloads will be discussed upon placement.
