This role focuses on providing morning and afternoon assistance to students during transportation, ensuring their safety, comfort, and engagement. You'll work 15 hours per week, split into two daily shifts of approximately 90 minutes each (between 6:30–8:30 a.m. and 2:30–4:30 p.m.), from now until May 29, 2026.
Ideal Qualifications and Experience:
- Background in education, classroom support, or healthcare (Paraprofessional or CNA preferred)
- Experience providing 1:1 care to children or youth
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with school staff, drivers, and students
- Reliable, punctual, and maintains confidentiality at all times
- Comfortable handling challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism
- Ability to lift, assist, or transfer students as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accompany assigned student(s) to and from school via bus transportation
- Provide attentive 1:1 or 2:1 care, ensuring individual needs are met during transit
- Assist with boarding and exiting procedures safely
- Maintain a supportive, positive experience for students daily
- Communicate relevant observations or concerns with school staff as needed
