Key Qualifications:

  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is essential
  • Previous experience working with elementary students is highly valued
  • Passion for helping students succeed academically and socially
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • No EIPA credential required for this role

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one ASL interpretation and behavioral support to an elementary-aged student throughout the school day
  • Facilitate effective communication between the student, teachers, and peers
  • Assist with classroom activities, assignments, and transitions to help encourage participation and engagement
  • Implement the student’s individualized education plan under the guidance of the classroom teacher and special education staff
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
