Para Professional in Live Oak, CA

Empower students as a dedicated paraprofessional, making a difference every day supporting learning and growth for individuals with special needs. This rewarding contract position is full-time, Monday through Friday, for 37.5 hours per week, located in the Yuba County area. Two paraprofessionals are needed to partner with experienced educators, specifically working with students diagnosed with Level 3 Autism on a very intense caseload.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a related setting preferred.
• Comfortable and confident working with Level 3 Autism or students requiring significant support.
• Able to remain patient, calm, and positive in challenging situations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers and therapy staff.
• Understanding of classroom routines and willingness to implement individualized programs.

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct support to students during lessons, activities, and transitions.
• Reinforce teacher-provided instruction, assist with academic tasks, and foster social-emotional development.
• Implement behavior plans and maintain a safe, encouraging atmosphere.
• Support data collection and documentation for student progress.
• Collaborate daily with faculty and related service teams.
