Make a meaningful impact working as a bus aide supporting students during their daily commute to and from school. Ten dedicated professionals are needed on a contract basis for the upcoming school year, with a strong possibility of renewal. These roles offer flexible part-time hours, generally between 10–15 hours each week, with shifts split between mornings (approximately 6:30–8:30 am) and afternoons (2:30–4:30 pm), depending on assigned routes.

Ideal candidates will thrive in a supportive environment, enjoy working 1:1 or 2:1 with students, and provide essential assistance during transit. Morning and afternoon duties ensure a stable routine during the academic year, running ASAP to late May 2027, and resumes in August, inclusive of Extended School Year (ESY) sessions.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Certified Nursing Assistant
• Demonstrated ability to work with special needs children, especially in a bus or vehicle environment
• Verbal de-escalation skills and a calm, reassuring manner
• Flexible, reliable, and dedicated to students’ well-being and safety
• Ability to complete onboarding processes, including CANS fingerprinting (out-of-pocket payment reimbursed upon completion)

Core Responsibilities:

• Safely escort students to and from school, riding along with drivers on designated routes
• Support students throughout their commute, providing guidance and comfort as needed
• Manage behaviors and respond appropriately to students’ needs
• Communicate effectively with school staff and transportation teams
• Document attendance and report absences as required
