Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Background as a Paraprofessional or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is welcome
- Experience working with special needs children strongly preferred
- Prior experience riding the bus with students is highly valued
- Effective verbal de-escalation and communication skills
- Ability to complete required onboarding, including a brief in-person training class
Key Responsibilities:
- Ride in the vehicle to provide support to students on their journey to and from school
- Accompany the driver during student pick-up and drop-off
- Foster a calm, safe environment using proactive support and communication
- Report any necessary absences to both the school district and recruiter
Additional Details:
- This assignment runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, with additional opportunities for extended school year (ESY) sessions and the subsequent academic year
- Onboarding through both the staffing agency and the educational service district is required
