Instructional Assistant - Los Angeles, California

We are seeking compassionate and dependable professionals to assist with safe and supportive transportation for special needs students in the Seattle, WA area and surrounding communities. Key Qualifications:

• Paraprofessional experience or Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred
• Previous experience working with special needs children, ideally in a school or transportation setting
• Proficiency in verbal de-escalation strategies
• Reliable, punctual, and keenly observant with strong communication skills
• Ability to manage 1:1 or 2:1 caseloads while fostering a positive environment
• Must be available for morning (6:30 am – 8:30 am) and afternoon (2:30 pm – 4:30 pm) routes, 10-15 hours per week total depending on assignment
• Willingness to complete onboarding requirements

Role Responsibilities:

• Ride on the school vehicle to and from school alongside students with special needs
• Assist drivers by providing attentive care, ensuring student safety and comfort throughout each route
• Support positive student behavior and utilize de-escalation techniques as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely communication regarding schedule, attendance, and incidents
• Participate in all required orientation and onboarding sessions
