Support students as a Bus Aide for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year, providing safe and attentive assistance during transportation. This role involves 15 hours per week, with 90-minute shifts in both the morning and afternoon, ensuring students are supported on their bus rides to and from school.

Location: Seattle, WA, and nearby areas
Schedule: Morning shifts between 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM; afternoon shifts between 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Contract Duration: Immediate start through May 29, 2026, with opportunities to support Extended School Year (ESY) programs and return for the 2026-2027 school year. Strong potential for contract renewal.

Responsibilities:

• Accompany students on the bus during morning pick-up and afternoon drop-off
• Assist with one-on-one or two-on-one support for students requiring individualized attention
• Collaborate with the bus driver to ensure safe and timely transportation
• Use verbal de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors calmly and effectively
• Work closely with special needs students, promoting a positive and supportive environment
• Prefer candidates familiar with riding the bus alongside their assigned student

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
• Strong communication skills, especially verbal de-escalation
• Prior experience working with children with special needs
• Ability to work flexible morning and afternoon hours
• Responsible, patient, and attentive to student safety and needs
