Exciting contract opportunity available for an engaging and compassionate individual to support young learners in a K-2 Instructional Program classroom. This school district is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional for the 2026/2027 school year near Loves Park, IL. As a valued support professional, you’ll partner with teachers and staff to help students thrive in their early academic journeys.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in an educational or classroom setting.
  • Familiarity or coursework in child development is desirable.
  • Ability to follow teacher direction and instructional plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, staff, and families.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Must meet any state or district-specific paraprofessional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with classroom tasks, activities, and individualized instructions.
  • Support classroom routines and help with classroom management.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group assistance under the teacher’s guidance.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Help monitor student progress and communicate observations to certified staff.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized and safe classroom setting.
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth throughout the school day.
  • Full-time hours from 7:50 AM to 3:10 PM, following the academic calendar.
