Classroom Assistant | Lowell, Massachusetts

Make a real impact supporting students as a vital part of a dedicated school team! This full-time contract opportunity offers 32.5 hours each week and is located near Lowell, MA. Paraprofessionals are needed to work in a range of settings, including 1:1 support roles, substantially separate classrooms, resource rooms, and specialized programs for students with behavioral needs. Roles are available supporting both lower and upper school students.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is preferred
• Ability to provide individualized and group support to students with diverse needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working in varied classroom environments, including those serving students with behavioral challenges
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to fostering a positive educational environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 student support as assigned, assisting with academic work, behavior management, and day-to-day functioning
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Support students in substantially separate and resource classrooms, adapting to their unique learning and behavioral needs
• Assist with classroom management and help maintain a safe, nurturing environment
• Document student progress, follow guidance from educational leaders, and contribute actively to team discussions
