Make a real difference supporting students and educators as a paraprofessional in a school community near Lowell, MA! This full-time contract role, with 32.5 hours per week, provides a rewarding opportunity to help students succeed both academically and socially. Multiple openings are available, including 1:1 support roles, program assistants for both upper and lower schools, and positions in dedicated resource and behavior programs.

Ideal Background & Skills:

  • Experience working as a paraprofessional or in classroom support preferred
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and other support staff
  • Strong communication skills and reliability
  • Comfort supporting students one-on-one and in group settings, including those with behavioral, cognitive, or learning differences

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer individualized and group support in classrooms, resource rooms, and specialized programs
  • Assist students in meeting educational, behavioral, and social goals
  • Implement accommodations and modifications under teacher guidance
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Support students’ daily routines, academic work, and social interactions
  • Communicate observations and progress to educators and support teams

Openings include:

  • Multiple 1:1 positions (supporting individual students)
  • Program assistants for lower and upper school settings
  • Resource room and CHOICES program roles (supporting students with behavioral needs)
  • Substantially separate classroom paraprofessional
